Privacy policy
The amounts you type into the calculator are processed on your own device — they are not sent to a server and are not stored. To see how much the site is used it loads Google Analytics 4, which receives aggregate visit data, never your salary. No advertising tag is loaded.
In short: the calculation runs locally in your browser and the amounts you enter never leave your device. No registration is required. The one thing measured is how many people visit, through Google Analytics 4, which runs cookieless here. No advertising tag is loaded.
Data controller
This website is a free salary calculator for Greece, operated and maintained by desymphony. The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Greek Law 4624/2019 is the operating entity; you can reach it at [email protected]. The controller’s full registered details will be added to this policy.
What data is processed
Using the calculator requires no sign-up, and we ourselves neither collect nor store any details that directly identify you — not your name, your AFM or AMKA number, your email address, or the amounts you enter into the calculator. All calculations are carried out locally in your browser; your entries are not transmitted to a server and are not stored permanently.
As with the operation of any website, the hosting provider may temporarily process technical connection data (for example a shortened IP address, the browser type and the time of access) in server logs, insofar as this is necessary for secure and stable operation. This data is not used to identify individual visitors and is not combined with other data sources.
Purpose and legal basis
Processing is governed by the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Greek Law 4624/2019. Technically necessary operations — running the website and storing your language-suggestion preference — rely on the legitimate interest in a functioning, secure service. The Consent Mode v2 default is denied for analytics and advertising storage, in one single call with no region key — the same for every visitor in every country, with no consent message that could change it. There is therefore no processing resting on consent or on legitimate interest for advertising purposes: no such cookie is set.
Cookies
The website sets no cookies at all; the only thing stored is a technically necessary language-suggestion preference in your browser’s local storage, so the “also available in …” suggestion does not reappear once you have closed it. Because analytics storage is denied, Google Analytics 4 sets no cookie either. All of this is set out in detail on the cookie policy page. You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Analytics and advertising
The website loads Google Analytics 4 to measure reach. The service is provided by a third party, Google LLC (USA), which receives the technical details of your connection (including your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 truncates, and your browser type) together with the aggregated visit ping. Because the Consent Mode v2 default is denied and there is no message that could change it, the tag operates in cookieless mode: no analytics cookie is set and no identifier is stored on your device. The amounts you enter into the calculator are not part of any measurement. No advertising network is integrated at all; if one ever is, this policy will be supplemented before that happens. Your rights
Under the GDPR and Law 4624/2019 you have, in particular, the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:
- Access — to learn whether, and which, personal data about you is being processed.
- Rectification — to have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure — to request the deletion of your data.
- Restriction and objection — to object to processing or to have it restricted.
- Data portability — to receive your data in a common format or have it transferred.
Since we ourselves collect no data that directly identifies you, our processing is in practice very limited. For data processed by Google as a third party, you also exercise your rights through Google’s tools (account and ad settings). Cookies that have been set can be deleted or blocked at any time through your browser.
Do not send personal payroll data
Please do not email us personal details from your payslip — not your name, your AFM/AMKA number or precise amounts. A made-up example is enough — the amounts you enter into the calculator never leave your browser.
Supervisory authority
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches data-protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in Greece:
Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα)

Contact
For any question about data protection and the processing of your data, you can reach us at [email protected]. Suggestions and feedback about the calculator itself are welcome via the contact page.
